TEACHERS’ CONFERENCES
Traditional conference of teachers on the eve of September 1, first day of the academic year, have been held in the Nasimi district of Baku and southern regions of Azerbaijan - Jalilabad, Bilasuvar, Yardimli and Lerik. The participants of the conferences spoke on success and shortcomings of previous and plan for the upcoming academic year, the ways of raising educational and pedagogical work, reforms in education, etc. Besides, the issues of construction and renovation of schools, according to the related decree of President Heydar Aliyev were touched upon at the conferences. The key issue at all conferences was participation in the upcoming presidential elections on October 15 in Azerbaijan and address to President Heydar Aliyev.
In conclusion, delegates to the 12th Teachers’ Congress were elected.
Heads of local executive powers, officials of the Ministry of Education attended the conference.
