Training held for State Border Service representatives
Baku, April 13, AZERTAC
From 11-13 April, trainings were held as part of the joint project “Better coordination on the border between Azerbaijan and Georgia” between the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), European Union, and State Border Service. During the trainings, experts from the State Border Service and UNDP representatives worked to determine which areas within the border service unit needed additional training.
These trainings included presentations by international experts from Austria and Romania, in partnership with the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD). Presenters reflected on a wide range of issues, such as determination of qualifications demanded for different areas of occupation, application of framework to assess qualified candidates, and the preparation and application of special training programs for various positions within the border services unit.
There was a broad exchange of ideas triggered by the thoughtful participation of attendees. In particular, program participants discussed the significance and implementation of new technologies and theories, the improvement of skills, and the application of knowledge learned during the conference. In the end, the participants were awarded with certificates acknowledging their participation in the rigorous program.
