Turkish FM hails Azerbaijan’s growing role on the international arena

“Azerbaijan’s role on the international arena has been increasing and it has become an important factor,” said Turkish FM Mevlut Cavusoglu at a joint press conference following the Azerbaijani, Turkish and Pakistani FMs' first trilateral meeting in Baku.
He said that today’s trilateral meeting was aimed at finding ways to further develop ties between the three countries.
The Turkish FM emphasized the need to increase trade between Turkey, Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
The foreign minister said that they have agreed on involvement of parliamentarians from all three countries to participate in the same format.
"We should always demonstrate strong solidarity on the issues of Kashmir, Nagorno-Karabakh and Cyprus and never hesitate to support each other. Turkey always stands by the brotherly countries of Azerbaijan and Pakistan on the issues of Karabakh and Kashmir. Terrorists will not be allowed to turn Islam into a tool in their hands,” Cavusoglu concluded.
