UPU autumn session to start next week
Baku, October 22 (AZERTAC). The autumn session of the Administrative Council of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) will be held in Bern city of Switzerland from 25 October to 12 November. Azerbaijan will be represented at the event by Chief Advisor of Postal sector of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Nasir Hamidov.
The calendar of the session includes meetings of various working projects and working groups, commissions of Administrative Council.
The event will focus on quality management of postal services, postal security, postal parcels as well as market development of new postal services.
As a member of the Administrative Council, Azerbaijan also makes its contribution to the work of the supreme body of the UPU and tries to properly fulfill all commitments of membership. The country`s postal administration has earned an image of active member of the organization in the international level.
Azerbaijan`s participation in the session of the UPU Administrative Council enables the country to exert influence on the processes of international postal community, to efficiently solve problems of quality management and security and at the same time to develop new market of postal services.
