WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL TEAM WINS SPRING CUP
Azerbaijan national women’s volleyball team has won the “Spring Cup” in Czech city of Brno. According to the press service of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Tourism, 15 European national teams and the volleyball club “Gala Stars”. Azerbaijani players ranked first in their subgroup beating the “Gala Stars”. The next was Spanish and Belarus /semifinal/ teams. In the finals, the Azerbaijani players gained the victory over the Czech team.
It should be reminded that such experienced athletes as Alla Hasanova, Elena Shabotova and Inessa Gorkhmaz did not play as coaches had grant them respite before the upcoming European championship, whose first round will be held in Slovakia.
