Baku, September 24, AZERTAC

Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, viewed the 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition “ADEX-2024” and the 14th International Exhibition for Internal Security, Safety and Rescue Equipment "Securex Caspian" at the Baku Expo Center on September 24.

Minister of Defense Zakir Hasanov and Minister of Defense Industry Vugar Mustafayev informed the head of state of the exhibitions.

The first ADEX exhibition was established in 2014. This year it celebrates its 5th anniversary, continuously expanding its participant list and the sectors it covers with each edition. Over the past decade, the exhibition has brought together numerous companies and nearly 200 official delegations representing more than 50 countries worldwide. More than 30,000 visitors have attended the event during these years.

The 5th Anniversary Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition ADEX, along with being the largest event in the region dedicated to the defense industry, showcases the strength and power of the country's military and industrial complex.

More than 218 companies from around 40 countries of the world are involved in this year's exhibition.

The exhibition is held on the initiative and with the organisational support of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan and support of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This year's exhibitions have been refreshed with new companies, which make up 34% of the total number of participants. In the open-air section of the exhibition, “Azersilah” JSC showcased armored vehicles, reconnaissance and kamikaze drones, including UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)

The Sumgayit Technology Park (STP), one of Azerbaijan's largest industrial hubs, showcased its capabilities in producing arms, munitions, and various military training equipment. STP emphasizes innovation and has over 30 production facilities that make it a leader in the region.

Italy is participating in the exhibition for the first time, represented by the “Exclases Group,” a trusted partner of “Leonardo Helicopters,” focusing on the sales and marketing of aircraft and equipment. The “Agusta Westland 109” helicopter, owned by the company, is featured at the exhibition.
