AZERBAIJANI LANGUAGE WILL BE TAUGHT IN THE RUHR UNIVERSITY OF GERMANY
A big group of Azerbaijani youth, having received scholarship according to the programs of the Deutch Academic Exchange Service - DAAD, and opportunity to make master degree in the universities of that country, concentrated in the Ruhr University in the town of Bochum. They founded an Azerbaijani academic union aimed at popularization of our country, its people, language and culture; render moral support to Azerbaijani students studying in Germany.
According to the agreement achieved with the oriental studies faculty of the Ruhr University, beginning with winter term 2003, Azerbaijani language will be taught 2 hours a week, Germany-based correspondent of AzerTaj reports.
Taking into account richness of Azerbaijani language and opportunity to be acquainted with history, culture and literature of many nations of the East by means of this language, tutors and students of the faculty expressed their readiness to support teaching of this language.
Teaching will be held according to a special program, worked out by Azerbaijani Academic Union.
Azerbaijani language teaching at the faculty of the Ruhr University starts on October 17, 2003.
