A meeting of the foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral states has today been held in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The meeting featured discussions on the provisions of a draft convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea related to the military issues, complying with the agreed confidence-building measures, ensuring the balanced armament, shipping, regimes and activities in different aquatic venues, as well as the right for free transit and laying of underwater pipelines and cables.
The FMs agreed to continue work on the draft convention.
