Azerbaijan, Georgia discuss ways of expanding relations

Azerbaijani Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has today met his Georgian counterpart Mikhail Janelidze in Tbilisi to discuss how to enhance the relations between the two countries.
FM Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan attached importance to developing the relations with Georgia, and noted that reciprocal visits, discussions, joint projects “bring the two countries closer to each other and contribute to the strengthening of the ties”.
Janelidze described Azerbaijan and Georgia as strategic partners, saying his country puts special emphasis on enhancing the relations in all fields.
The two ministers highlighted the importance of the joint regional projects, and expressed confidence that the launch of TAP and TANAP projects, as well as Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway would made a huge contribution to the regional cooperation.
