Azerbaijan joins Festival of National Cultures in Belarus

An Azerbaijani delegation has participated at the Festival of National Cultures held on the occasion of the 855th anniversary of the city of Gomel, Belarus.
At the festival, the representatives of the "Congress of Azerbaijani Communities" of Belarus demonstrated the culture, traditions, and national cuisine of Azerbaijani people. The visitors enjoyed delicious Azerbaijani plov, dolma, pomegranate juice, as well as traditional Azerbaijani sweet pastry - shekerbura, baklava, gogal.
Chairman of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee Ivan Krupko, Chairman of the Gomel City Executive Committee Peter Kirichenko and the delegation also visited the exhibition, as well as familiarized themselves with the traditions and culture of Azerbaijan, and tasted Azerbaijani sweets and teas.
"Sari Gelin" dance ensemble of Azerbaijan performed "Uzundara", "Naz elama" and other folk dances at the festival.
The event participants performed the Azerbaijani folk dance - "Yalli" together.
The national costumes and attributes of Azerbaijan were also displayed at the festival.
