Chairman of state committee for work with religious organizations meets president of B'nai B'rith International

Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations Mubariz Gurbanli has met president of B'nai B'rith International Gary P. Saltzman.
Mubariz Gurbanli said that Azerbaijan has developed an exemplary model of multiculturalism and tolerance, adding the country pays special attention to preservation and further development of historical and cultural heritage.
He said relations among religious and ethnic groups strengthened in accordance with the statehood conception of national leader Heydar Aliyev. “The successful model of development is being carried out under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.”
Mubariz Gurbanli said First Vice-President of Azerbaijan, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attaches great importance to preservation of the cultural values, as well as restoration of the historical-cultural monuments across the world.
He highlighted the government`s work to preserve and promote religious tolerance and prevent radicalism in the country. Gary P. Saltzman, in turn, spoke about the activity of his Organization, saying the body aims to promote the religious diversity around the world. He said Azerbaijan has possessed a unique model of religious tolerance.
They discussed issues on bilateral cooperation, joint projects directed to foster fraternity among the Azerbaijani and Jewish nation.
