Diplomat Andreas Peschke: Germany attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan

“Germany attaches great importance to the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan,” said Director for Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany Andreas Peschke as he met with members of Azerbaijani-German interparliamentary working group at the Milli Majlis.
Hailing the rapidly development of cooperation in political, economic and cultural areas between the two countries, the German ambassador expressed his confidence that such kind of visits will further contribute to the development of these relations.
Bundestag member Andreas Peschke described Azerbaijan as a very important economic partner of Germany in the Caucasus.
Azerbaijani MP, the chairman of Youth and Sports Committee at Milli Majlis Fuad Muradov highlighted the excellent political and economic ties between the two countries, describing the relations both in political and economic fields as successful.
Muradov said that Azerbaijan welcomes the position of Germany's peacekeeping mission on the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is based on the international law.
Andreas Peschke noted that Germany supports the peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The sides emphasized the importance of conducting such meetings in terms of development of relations between Germany and Azerbaijan.
