First international conference on development of tourism in CIS launched in Moscow
Baku, March 16 (AZERTAC). The first international conference on development of tourism in CIS started in Moscow.
The event brought together about 200 representatives from Commonwealth countries. Addressing the meeting participants, deputy head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Alexander Radkov told of aims and tasks of the conference. Azerbaijani ambassador to Russia, chairman of the board of directors of CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation Polad Bulbul oglu said the tourism promotes development of business and cultural relations among the nations of different countries. He briefed on activity of the CIS Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation. He updated the participants on development of tourism in Azerbaijan. He said in accordance with President Ilham Aliyev`s decree, 2011 was announced as a year of tourism in Azerbaijan.
