Participants of 57th Meeting of UNWTO Commission for Europe visit Ministry of Culture and Tourism
Baku, April 4 (AZERTAC). Participants of the 57th Meeting of the UNWTO Commission for Europe, including Lithuanian Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas, Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro Branimir Gvozdenovich, Albanian Minister of Urban Development and Tourism Eglantina Gjermeni, Croatian Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin and Hungarian State Secretary of the National Economy Ministry Istvan Komorowski have today visited the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev spoke of the country’s tourism potential at the meeting with Lithuanian Minister of Economy Evaldas Gustas.
Gustas also gave detailed information about his country’s economic and tourism potential.
They expressed interest in mutual cooperation and discussed creation of business ties and investment plans.

Abulfaz Garayev also met Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro Branimir Gvozdenovich to discuss bilateral bonds between the two countries.
The Azerbaijani Minister noted the importance of signing bilateral agreement to create legal framework for enhancing cooperation between Azerbaijan and Montenegro.
Gvozdenovich noted that more than 100 countries made investments in the country. He said Azerbaijan was one of these countries.
The Montenegrin Minister thanked the Azerbaijani government for building a national park in the country, and underlined that the projects implemented by the SOCAR would contribute to development of the country.

Abulfaz Garayev then met Albanian Minister of Urban Development and Tourism Eglantina Gjermeni.
The Albanian Minister expressed intention of her country to learn Azerbaijan’s experience in tourism development strategy and marketing planning fields.
Garayev underlined the importance of expanding bilateral ties between the two countries’ tourisms institutes.
They noted Azerbaijan and Albania had signed an agreement in culture and tourism field. They also agreed to draw up a joint tourism plan for 2014-2015.

Minister Abulfaz Garayev then met Croatian Minister of Tourism Darko Lorencin.
The Minister provided an insight into Azerbaijan’s tourism potential and conditions created in the country.
They also discussed ways of increasing the mutual tourist flow.

The Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism also met a delegation led by Hungarian State Secretary of the National Economy Ministry Istvan Komorowski.
Minister Abulfaz Garayev spoke of Azerbaijan’s tourism opportunities, as well as the country’s economic development.
They also stressed the importance of increasing the mutual tourist flow.
