AGRARIAN REFORMS BEAR FRUITS

The agrarian reforms implemented during the last years in Gadabay province of Azerbaijan have boosted growth of grain-growing and animal husbandry. Being inspired by this success the village workers enlarged sown areas and have grown potatoes in the area of 12 thousand 655, grain – 556, and maize – 1500 hectares.

According to the regional Executive Power, the rainy weather has had a positive effect on the productivity. The enlargement of sown areas and growth of productivity have also prompted the development of animal husbandry. At present, 200 thousand heads of small cattle and 57 thousand heads of neat is raising that is considerably higher than in previous years.
