Azerbaijan ranks second in overall medal table of World Boxing Cup

Baku, April 27, AZERTAC

Azerbaijani boxers captured four medals, including three golds, at the World Boxing Cup held in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.

Subhan Mamedov (50kg) defeated Issam Ben Sayar of Morocco, winning all three rounds to secure a dominant 5-0 victory and the gold medal.

Mahammad Abdullayev (+90kg) also claimed gold, defeating Davit Chaloyan of Armenia 3-2 and securing another gold medal for Azerbaijan.

Saidjamshid Jafarov (75kg) also won gold for Azerbaijan, while Nabi Isgandarov (70kg) took bronze.

With three gold and one bronze medals, Azerbaijan finished second in the overall medal table.
