Azerbaijani Businessmen Union to function in Turkey
Baku, June 29 (AZERTAC). Today, Azerbaijani Business Association (TAIB) has officially started to function in Turkey.
At the official opening ceremony, Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev said that Association’s activity will create conditions for expansion of Azerbaijani businessmen’s activity in Turkey as well as new cooperation opportunities.
According to Ministry of Economic Development, officials, entrepreneurs, representatives of businessmen union, public organization of both countries attended the event.
Mr. Mustafayev informed about Azerbaijan’s successes and noted that, Azerbaijan had sustainable economy and was a leader state in the Southern Caucasus. He said that, the Union would extend the operation of Azerbaijani businessmen in Turkey, open new opportunities for collaboration.
Mustafayev also noted that, quick development of Azerbaijan’s economy created useful condition for increase of financial opportunities and investing abroad: “Today, Azerbaijan is investment exporter and invested in Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Balkan states and other countries”.
“Economic and political relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey have reached strategic cooperation level. Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway projects are example of this relation. Contracts signed on TANAP are new beginning of our cooperation”, he said.
In turn, the head of the Association of business people of Azerbaijan to Turkey Seymur Agayev spoke about the purpose of creating the Association, its tasks and duties. He added that the structure was of great importance in coordinating the activities of the Azerbaijani business people operating in Turkey, it would encourage new investments.
The Association of business people of Azerbaijan to Turkey signed several memorandums of understanding with Azerbaijan-Turkish Businessmen Association, the Office of Foreign Economic Relations of Turkey, the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
