National Assembly Chair Dotsova: Bulgaria must never doubt its European Orientation

In an address to students at the Youth Economic Forum 2026 at the University of National and World Economy on Monday, National Assembly Chair Mihaela Dotsova said that Bulgaria must never doubt its European orientation.
The forum, titled "Modern State, Competitive Economy, and More Opportunities for Young People", was organized by the university’s student council in collaboration with the National Assembly of Students' Councils, according to the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).
"Do not listen to or pay attention to anyone who tries to tell you that there is another path for Bulgaria’s development, because a strong, European Bulgaria means upholding the rule of law," Dotsova added.
"A dividing line is too easy to draw, so never doubt your own convictions. I am convinced that the future National Assembly chairs, ministers and mayors are standing in this hall. I am convinced because I see the fire in the eyes of the people who are here," she said.
Dotsova thanked the students for choosing to study in Bulgaria. Knowledge is the best investment because it ensures that everything depends on you and your will, she said.
