Winners of 3rd International Gabala–Khankendi Ultramarathon announced

The 3rd International Gabala–Khankendi Ultramarathon, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, and the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, has concluded.
Participants covered 29.2 kilometers from Aghdam to Khankendi in the final stage of the race.
Georgian athlete David Kharazishvili won the stage, while Ukrainian athlete Olena Shevchenko finished first in the women's competition.
A total of 97 athletes from six countries competed in the race. The ultramarathon comprised four stages: Gabala–Agdash (52.5 km), Agdash–Barda (63.5 km), Barda–Aghdam (46.8 km), and Aghdam–Khankendi (29.2 km). The runners covered a total of 192 kilometers over four days.
The Khankendi Ultramarathon was first held in 2024 along the Khankendi–Baku route, covering 380 kilometers and attracting 64 athletes from four countries. In 2025, the ultramarathon followed the Gabala–Khankendi route, with 81 athletes from six countries taking part.
