International travelers observe demining process in Jabrayil district
Jabrayil, October 10, AZERTAC
A group of around 40 members of the world-renowned MTP (Most Traveled People) international travelers’ club arrived in Jabrayil district as part of a visit to Garabagh and East Zangezur.
Led by American traveler Charles Veley, founder of the MTP club, the delegation includes travelers from 13 countries.
During the visit, the delegation observed the demining process in the Yarahmadli village of the district.
Employees of Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) briefed the travelers on the landmine contamination by Armenia and ongoing mine clearance efforts across the liberated territories. The delegation members learned that most anti-personnel mines found in the liberated territories are of Armenian origin.
This marks the 17th group visit by major international travelers’ clubs to Garabagh and East Zangezur since 2021, offering participants a firsthand look at the extensive reconstruction and restoration projects underway in the liberated territories.
