Azerbaijan joins Olympic Solidarity Forum in Croatia
Baku, October 9, AZERTAC
The 46th Seminar of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) and the Olympic Solidarity Forum of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) commenced in Split, Croatia.
Azerbaijan is represented at the forum by Azer Aliyev, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), and Anar Baghirov, Head of the NOC’s Foreign Relations Department.
The forum’s first day opened with the official ceremony for the 46th EOC Seminar & IOC Olympic Solidarity Forum. Speakers included Croatian Olympic Committee President Josip Varvodić, EOC President Spyros Capralos, and Josip Pavić, State Secretary at Croatia’s Ministry of Tourism and Sport.
The event also featured the presentation of the 11th Winter Edition of the Piotr Nurowski Prize.
The agenda includes discussions on the 2027 Winter and Summer European Youth Olympic Festivals, the 4th European Games in Istanbul, and LA 2028 Summer Olympics.
Plenary meetings and joint working sessions will also take place.
The EOC forum serves as an important platform for supporting young European athletes, promoting Olympic values, and enhancing international cooperation.
