Azerbaijan, World Bank enhance digital development cooperation

Rashad Hasanov, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, met with Sacha Backes, World Bank Group Country Manager for Azerbaijan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation in priority areas under the “Digital Development Acceleration Action Plan in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026–2028.”
The parties also exchanged views on the World Bank’s support for digital transformation, the development of AI-based infrastructure, data centers and the “Government Cloud,” as well as the training of cybersecurity specialists and personnel with digital skills.
