Tajik President: We will fully support Azerbaijan’s chairmanship

“Tajikistan will fully support Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Republic of Azerbaijan,” President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon said at the opening ceremony of the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Central Asia.
“Tajikistan stands ready to support Azerbaijan’s constructive initiatives and contribute to the practical implementation of the agreements reached. I am confident that mutual trust and good-neighborly relations will allow us to continue moving steadily towards our shared goals. I congratulate Azerbaijan on assuming the chairmanship and reaffirm our commitment to providing it with full support,” he emphasized.
Emomali Rahmon also underscored the importance of enhancing cooperation in cybersecurity, broadening the exchange of information and practical experience, and developing qualified specialists.
Highlighting cultural and humanitarian cooperation, he noted that efforts are ongoing to translate literary, historical, and cultural works.
The Tajik President placed particular emphasis on the environmental agenda, highlighting the importance of joint efforts to address climate change, glacier melting, and desertification, preserve biodiversity, and promote the development of national parks.
