77th International Astronautical Congress continues in Antalya

The 77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026) underway in Antalya, Türkiye.
The congress features panel discussions, sessions, meetings with astronauts, and a number of other events with the participation of delegations representing various countries around the world.
As part of the congress, a special session was held to discuss Türkiye’s space vision and its Moon mission.
Addressing the event, Yusuf Kıraç, President of Turkish Space Agency, underlined that the spacecraft scheduled to be sent to the Moon in 2027 will conduct research on solar wind, water formation, magnetic fields, and thermal structures on the lunar surface.
As part of the events scheduled for October 7, a memorandum of understanding will be signed between Azerbaijan’s Azercosmos and the International Institute of Space Law (IISL) on the development of international cooperation in the field of space law.
Azerbaijan is represented at the congress by a large delegation.
Azerbaijan ranked second among 108 countries that submitted 814 scientific reports to the congress.
