Azerbaijan and UK enhance opportunities for economic cooperation

Mikayil Jabbarov, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, met with Anas Sarwar, Minister of State for Trade at the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and a Member of the House of Lords.
The sides discussed the current state and prospects for Azerbaijan–UK economic cooperation, the expansion of trade and investment ties, strengthening partnerships between the business communities of the two countries, and exploring new economic opportunities.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss cooperation in the digital economy and innovation, as well as the role of the Azerbaijan–UK Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in further advancing bilateral economic and trade relations.
