Representatives of Azerbaijani and Georgian defense ministries hold meeting

Baku hosted a meeting between representatives of the Media and Public Affairs Department of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan and the Strategic Communications and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.
At the outset of the meeting, the Georgian delegation was provided with comprehensive information on the activities of the Media and Public Affairs Department. Particular attention was given to the provision of timely and accurate information during the 44-day Patriotic War, which culminated in the Victory of the Azerbaijan Army, as well as counter-terrorism and other military operations. Measures undertaken to combat disinformation were also highlighted.
Subsequently, briefings were delivered on the Ministry of Defense’s information, communication, and public affairs strategy, the management of its official social media platforms, and its activities related to handling citizens’ appeals and inquiries.
The meeting featured an in-depth exchange of views on the organization of strategic communications and information activities. The participants also discussed prospects for further developing cooperation between the two countries in the field of military information and strategic communications.
As part of the visit, the delegation was briefed on the activities of the Military Publishing House, the editorial office of the Azerbaijan Army newspaper, and the Multimedia Center.
