Unveiling ceremony of Garabagh horse statue held in Astana

A ceremony unveiling a statue of a Garabagh horse, donated by Azerbaijan to the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the organization, was held at the CICA Secretariat headquarters in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The ceremony marking CICA Day was attended by CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Kazakhstan.
Addressing the event, Alimirzamin Asgarov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan, noted that the Garabagh horse is an integral part of Azerbaijan’s national heritage and symbolizes courage and loyalty.
“We hope that this statue will become a symbol of our friendship with other member states and of the sincere atmosphere that CICA helps foster among us,” the diplomat emphasized.
Highlighting Azerbaijan’s priorities during its chairmanship of CICA, the ambassador noted that Baku will host the 7th CICA Summit on October 15. According to him, Azerbaijan closely cooperates with the member states and the Secretariat on the content and organization of the meeting.
CICA Secretary General Kairat Sarybay underlined that the statue would take its place among artworks donated by member states that reflect Asia’s cultural diversity.
