Exhibition dedicated to Kelaghayi traditions opens in Ankara

A solo exhibition by Azerbaijani artist Elchin Mustafayev dedicated to the kelaghayi, the traditional Azerbaijani silk headscarf, has opened at the Fırça Art Gallery in Ankara.
The exhibition was organized with the support of the Azerbaijani Cultural Center under the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Türkiye.
The exhibition features more than 20 paintings inspired by the motifs, ornaments, and patterns of the kelaghayi, an enduring element of the image and cultural heritage of Azerbaijani women.
The exhibition presents the rich traditions of Azerbaijani kelaghayi art and its artistic interpretation in contemporary painting.
