Presidential Assistant: Azerbaijan is creating new political realities in the region
Baku, October 2, AZERTAC
“Currently, the entire regional landscape of the South Caucasus has changed. Azerbaijan is the initiator of the peace agenda, and the author of this initiative is President Ilham Aliyev,” Hikmet Hajiyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said at the CAMCA Regional Forum.
He emphasized that Azerbaijan is demonstrating regional ownership and reshaping new geopolitical realities in the region, which is the result of strategic foresight. Currently, economic and diplomatic connectivity is important for Azerbaijan. This includes renewable energy, transport connections, as well as the consolidation and protection of the achieved peace. "Because unpredictability in the region, as well as across the whole world, still remains quite high, and this is also happening in the immediate neighborhood of Azerbaijan," Hikmet Hajiyev noted.
