Prosecutor General’s Offices of Azerbaijan and Russia sign cooperation program

As part of an official visit to Russia, an Azerbaijani delegation led by Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev met with his Russian counterpart, Alexander Gutsan.
Expressing his gratitude for the warm hospitality, Kamran Aliyev underscored the existence of deep historical, cultural, political, and legal ties between Azerbaijan and Russia.
Commending the current level of cooperation between the prosecution authorities of the two countries, Kamran Aliyev noted that these relations encompass two key areas. Cooperation has been successfully developed not only through the study of law enforcement practices and new legislative institutions in each country, but also through legal assistance and the extradition of offenders in specific criminal cases.
Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan emphasized that the prosecution authorities of the two countries have traditionally maintained a high level of cooperation. He also shared his views on expanding the scope of cooperation.
The meeting concluded with the signing of the Cooperation Program for 2027–2028 between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
