Azerbaijan, Greece discuss prospects for energy partnership

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with Minister of Environment and Energy of Greece Stavros Papastavrou on the sidelines of the 6th session of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Greece on Economic, Industrial and Technological cooperation.
“We discussed advancing energy cooperation between the two countries. We exchanged views on the role of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in ensuring Europe’s, including Greece’s, energy security, as well as on natural gas supplies, renewable energy, green energy interconnections and the energy transition. Nearly 700 million cubic metres of natural gas were supplied from Azerbaijan to Greece during the first eight months of this year,” Minister Parviz Shahbazov said on X.
