Baku hosts event marking Slovakia’s Constitution Day

An event marking Slovakia’s national holiday, Constitution Day, was held in Baku on September 29.
Addressing the event, Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, extended the sincere congratulations and best wishes of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on this remarkable occasion.
She noted that Azerbaijan-Slovakia relations have been elevated to the highest level of strategic partnership in a short span of time, thanks to the political will of the leaders of both countries and their consistent approach to bilateral ties.
She underscored the steady development of bilateral relations, grounded in active political dialogue, across various domains, particularly highlighting economic, trade, energy, mutual investment, military-technical, cultural, educational, and interparliamentary cooperation.
The Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker expressed her confidence that the Azerbaijan-Slovakia friendship and strategic partnership will continue developing successfully, contributing to the welfare of both countries’ peoples.
In his remarks, Robert Kaliňák, Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, noted that reciprocal visits and close contacts have contributed to fostering bilateral ties.
