Landmine blast injures one in Shusha district

“A mine incident occurred in the village of Jamillar in the liberated Shusha district on September 28,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) said in a joint statement.
According to the statement, a vehicle operated by Bakhtiyar Mirza oghlu Bayramov, a Baku resident born in 1979, hit an anti-tank mine in an area where demining activities were still underway. Bayramov sustained injuries of varying severity.
The Shusha District Prosecutor’s Office is conducting an investigation into the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s Office urged citizens to comply with safety rules, heed mine warning signs, and avoid unfamiliar areas.
