Azerbaijan’s gold export revenues rise by up to 29 percent

Gold was the top export item in Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector in January-August 2026, according to the September edition of the “Export Review” magazine published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications.
During the mentioned period, (excluding non-monetary gold), gold ($271.2 million) ranked first in the list of exported non-oil sector goods. Revenue from gold exports increased by 28.7 percent compared with the same period last year. Copper ores and concentrates worth $183.7 million ranked second, while tomatoes worth $172.2 million ranked third.
During August 2026, gold worth $36.8 million ranked first in the list of exported non-oil sector goods. Copper ores and concentrates worth $31.7 million ranked second, while peaches, including nectarines, worth $29.4 million ranked third.
In January-August 2026 (excluding non-monetary gold), non-oil sector goods worth $814.2 million were exported to the Russian Federation, $435 million to Türkiye, $386.5 million to Georgia, $284.4 million to Switzerland, and $101.1 million to Ukraine.
In August 2026, non-oil sector goods worth $82.5 million were exported to the Russian Federation, $58.5 million to Georgia, $44.4 million to Türkiye, $37.9 million to Switzerland, and $16.1 million to Ukraine.
