Azerbaijan, Italy discuss expanding cooperation in oil and petrochemical industries

Baku, September 28, AZERTAC

On September 28, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Alessandro Bernini, CEO of MAIRE Group.

During the meeting, the sides hailed the dynamic development of energy partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy. It was emphasized that SOCAR’s activities in Italy, including the acquisition of shares in Italiana Petroli, reflect the successful cooperation between the two countries.

The parties commended the effective partnership established between SOCAR and MAIRE over the years in the refining and petrochemical industries.

The parties discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in the petrochemical sector, as well as opportunities to implement new joint projects in areas of mutual interest.
