Azerbaijan, Russia explore legal cooperation

Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev met with Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Russia Igor Krasnov in Moscow on September 29.
During the meeting, the sides highlighted the pivotal role of friendly and trusting relations between the two heads of state in driving bilateral ties, emphasizing that strategic partnership and allied cooperation continue to strengthen across multiple sectors.
Kamran Aliyev praised the high level of long-standing cooperation between the prosecutorial authorities of both nations, citing effective collaboration in mutual legal assistance, crime prevention, and the exchange of operational expertise and information.
The discussions focused on expanding institutional ties, legal education, and professional personnel training. The officials also explored opportunities for joint scientific and practical events, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Igor Krasnov expressed strong interest in advancing long-term, constructive collaboration with his Azerbaijani counterparts, voicing confidence that the meeting would further strengthen ties between the relevant authorities.
Following the meeting, Kamran Aliyev presented Igor Krasnov with the Medal of Azerbaijan "For Effective Cooperation with Prosecution Bodies."
