Incoming Azerbaijani Ambassador presents his credentials to Italian President

Elchin Huseynli, incoming Azerbaijani Ambassador to Italy, presented his credentials to Italian President Sergio Mattarella.
During the meeting, Ambassador Huseynli extended the sincere greetings and best wishes of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to the Italian President.
The Ambassador noted that Azerbaijan-Italy relations have entered a new phase following the signing of the “Joint Declaration on Strengthening Multidimensional Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Italian Republic” in Rome on February 20, 2020.
The diplomat stressed the crucial role of recent reciprocal visits, as well as Azerbaijan-Italy friendship and strategic partnership, in fostering institutional collaboration across political, economic, energy, trade, humanitarian, educational, cultural, and other domains, while also strengthening ties between the two countries’ peoples.
President Sergio Mattarella underscored the exceptional importance of collaboration with Azerbaijan, grounded in friendship and multifaceted partnership, and expressed confidence in further strengthening these ties.
President Mattarella congratulated the Azerbaijani ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission.
