Azerbaijani, Georgian Supreme Courts sign MoU

On September 30, the Supreme Courts of Azerbaijan and Georgia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.
The MoU was signed by Inam Karimov, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Azerbaijan, and Nino Kadagidze, Chair of the Supreme Court of Georgia.
The document envisages promoting the mutual exchange of experience in the judicial sphere, enhancing the professional knowledge and skills of judges and court staff, as well as fostering bilateral relations between the supreme courts of the two countries.
During the meeting, Inam Karimov noted that the existing friendly relations between the two countries create favorable opportunities for advancing judicial cooperation, adding that reciprocal visits and continued dialogue contribute to sharing expertise and strengthening cooperation.
He briefed his Georgian counterpart on ongoing judicial and legal reforms in Azerbaijan, efforts aimed at increasing the efficiency and accessibility of justice, as well as efforts to establish uniform judicial practice.
The discussions also underscored the importance of applying modern technologies in judicial systems and sharing expertise in this area.
Nino Kadagidze emphasized the importance she attaches to developing relations between the supreme courts of the two countries, highlighting the benefits of sharing expertise.
