“ASAN Khidmet” brings its public service expertise to Caribbean

A delegation led by Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is on a visit to Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic.
During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Minister of the Presidency in the Dominican Republic José Ignacio Paliza.
Ulvi Mehdiyev presented Azerbaijan’s “ASAN Khidmet” model, citizen-oriented public services, and innovative approaches to public administration. The Dominican side expressed its interest in expanding bilateral relations, noting that sharing Azerbaijan’s “ASAN Khidmet” experience could contribute to further cooperation.
The State Agency delegation also met with Sigmund Freund, Minister of Public Administration of the Dominican Republic, with the sides signing a Memorandum of Understanding on implementing the “ASAN Khidmet” model in the country.
The agreement covers training Dominican civil servants by Azerbaijani experts and developing relevant standards. It is the first such document signed with a Caribbean country, making the Dominican Republic the 53rd country where the model will be implemented.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Ruslan Rzayev was also present at the meetings.
