Azerbaijani delegation from Tax Service joins international event IN mANILA

An In-Person Training on Value-Added Tax on International Trade and E-Commerce was held in Manila, Philippines.
Co-organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the OECD Global Relations Programme on Taxation, and the OECD Korea Policy Centre, the event brought together representatives of tax administrations from various countries, including the State Tax Service (STS) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy.
The gathering featured discussions on the application of VAT to e-commerce and digital services, the improvement of tax administration for e-commerce, and advanced approaches in the field.
As part of the event, a bilateral meeting was held between representatives of the STS and the ADB.
The meeting focused on the current status of the regional technical assistance project on the mobilization of domestic resources and the establishment of a regional center for international tax cooperation in Azerbaijan, as well as measures for the next stage and issues related to improving taxation mechanisms and tax administration in e-commerce and the digital economy.
