Azerbaijan’s SOCAR, US’ Halliburton explore cooperation

On September 30, Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), met with Rami Yassine, President of the Eastern Hemisphere at U.S.-based Halliburton.
During the meeting, the sides noted that Halliburton has been successfully operating in Azerbaijan for many years. The parties expressed satisfaction with the existing cooperation between SOCAR and Halliburton, and reviewed opportunities to further expand their partnership in SOCAR’s projects in Azerbaijan and other countries.
The Halliburton official was briefed on SOCAR’s efforts in digitalization and the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions. In this context, the meeting praised the inclusion of SOCAR’s Carbamide Plant in the World Economic Forum’s Global Lighthouse Network.
The parties exchanged views on potential cooperation in oil and gas field development, enhancing production efficiency, digitalization and the application of innovative technologies, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
