Mingachevir Regatta: Azerbaijan’s rowers won seven more medals

Azerbaijani rowers claimed seven medals, including three gold, one silver and three bronze, on the second day of the Mingachevir Regatta 2026.
Azer Ilyasov, Alimurad Hajizade, and Tengiz Gagnidze–Giyas Ahmadov pair won gold, while Elmir Tarverdiyev–Mustafa Valizade took silver. Pairs Mahammad Hasanov–Ilyas Ibrahimov, Nuran Rahimli–Elvin Aliyev, as well as Huseyn Samadli claimed bronze.
More than 100 young rowers from Azerbaijan, as well as the Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Tajikistan, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan are competing in the tournament, which will conclude on October 1.
