Azerbaijan`s national spirit at Paris Fashion Week

As part of Paris Fashion Week, the event entitled “Fashion Culture Day in Paris” marking Azerbaijan’s fashion culture, national heritage, and contemporary creativity was held with the support of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France and co-organized by the “SIMOORG Academy” and the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan.
The event, held at the Cultural Center of the Embassy of Azerbaijan in France, brought together representatives of the fashion, culture, and arts sectors, diplomats, designers, media professionals, and members of the creative industries.
Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva and President of the Association of Friends of Azerbaijan Jérôme Beguin delivered speeches.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Leyla Abdullayeva emphasized the importance of showcasing Azerbaijan’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and national aesthetic values to international audiences through contemporary fashion. She noted that Azerbaijani fashion culture is rooted in national heritage while evolving through contemporary creativity. She emphasized that such initiatives contribute to promoting Azerbaijani culture in an international fashion hub like Paris.
The garments showcased at the event incorporated key elements of Azerbaijani culture, such as carpet weaving, decorative and applied arts, and national ornamental motifs.
