ADY reports 19 percent surge in rail passenger traffic through September
Baku, October 6, AZERTAC
Between January and September of this year, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) transported nearly 8.5 million passengers, marking a 19 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
ADY told AZERTAC that 8 million passengers were transported via the Absheron circular railway routes during this period, an 18 percent year-on-year increase.
A total of 433,000 passengers used interregional routes, representing a 17 percent increase, while more than 75,500 passengers traveled on the international Baku–Tbilisi–Baku route.
In addition, ADY’s total passenger transportation grew by 24 percent in September of this year alone.
