Azerbaijan’s book culture showcased at 78th Frankfurt International Book Fair
Berlin, October 7, AZERTAC
The 78th Frankfurt International Book Fair (Frankfurter Buchmesse 2026) opened today.
Running through October 11, the fair features Azerbaijan’s ancient history and rich literary heritage at a specially designed national pavilion, where a wide range of books and publications are on display. Azerbaijan’s participation is organized by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and the Azerbaijan Cultural Center in Berlin.
A large delegation of Azerbaijani writers and publishers is attending the fair, where the national stand has attracted strong interest from local and international visitors. Azerbaijani publishers have also held productive meetings with foreign counterparts on copyright and cooperation.
On October 9, a panel titled “Azerbaijani Literature Abroad” will be held at the “Global Stage” to discuss promoting Azerbaijani literature internationally. The event will be followed by an autograph session with Azerbaijani children’s authors.
The Czech Republic is this year’s Guest of Honour at the fair.
