Azercosmos, International Institute of Space Law sign MoU

Azerkosmos, the Space Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the International Institute of Space Law (IISL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop international cooperation in the field of space law on the sidelines of the 77th International Astronautical Congress held in Antalya, Türkiye.
The aim of the Memorandum is to promote international cooperation in the field of space law and strengthen the rule of law in outer space.
According to the document, the parties will collaborate on the joint organization of space law events, the integration of space law into university curricula, and the exchange of information and expertise on current issues and development trends in space law. The document also envisages raising awareness of space law.
The Memorandum will establish a general framework for cooperation aimed at developing the legal and institutional foundations of space activities in the Republic of Azerbaijan, studying international best practices, and strengthening professional capacity in the field of space law.
