Azerbaijan showcases its year-round tourism offerings in four cities across Türkiye
Baku, October 9, AZERTAC
The Representative Office of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) in Türkiye, in cooperation with Absheron Hotel Group (AHG), promoted Azerbaijan’s year-round tourism offerings to the Turkish travel industry through a series of seminars held in Trabzon, Gaziantep, Bursa and Konya from October 5 to 8.
Around 250 representatives of Türkiye’s travel industry and media attended the events, discovering a destination characterized by diverse landscapes stretching from the Caspian coast to the Greater Caucasus, a rich cultural heritage and experiences that vary with the seasons. From mountain retreats and outdoor adventures to city breaks and cultural journeys, the seminars showcased the many ways travellers can experience Azerbaijan throughout the year.
Winter tourism was a key focus of the programme, highlighting Azerbaijan’s growing appeal for snow, mountain and seasonal travel, from the slopes of Shahdag and Tufandag to the country’s role as the Global Destination Partner of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). Shusha, Azerbaijan’s cultural capital, also took centre stage, with presentations highlighting its distinctive historical and spiritual character, as well as its potential for meetings, incentives, conferences and events.
Alongside the destination presentations, open business-to-business (B2B) networking sessions gave industry professionals opportunities to meet, exchange ideas and explore potential partnerships, strengthening ties between tourism stakeholders from Azerbaijan and Türkiye.
Tourism figures also point to growing interest in Azerbaijan among travellers from Türkiye. Between January and September 2026, Azerbaijan welcomed 355,045 visitors from Türkiye, marking a 6.4% increase compared with the same period in 2025.
The seminar series forms part of ATB’s ongoing efforts in the Turkish market to showcase Azerbaijan’s tourism offerings to travel professionals, strengthen industry ties and generate greater interest in a destination that offers diverse experiences in every season.
