Azerbaijan, Germany exchange expertise in banking regulation

A delegation from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has visited Germany on a working visit to exchange expertise in banking regulation.
“The first part of the visit included meetings with the Deutsche Bundesbank. The discussions focused on banking regulation and supervision systems in Germany and the European Union, the role of the Bundesbank within this framework, and approaches to supervising credit institutions.
The delegation also held bilateral meetings at Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Participants exchanged views on the agency's activities and role in the financial supervision system, regulation and supervision of interest rate risk, promotion of financial technology innovation, and approaches to managing information and communication technology (ICT) risks.
During these meetings, the Central Bank presented information on its approaches to banking regulation and supervision, its Risk-Based Supervision System, and regulatory reforms. Issues of mutual interest were also discussed,” the CBA said in a post on X.
