Azerbaijan, China explore agricultural cooperation

As part of its working visit to China, a delegation of Azerbaijan, led by Majnun Mammadov, Minister of Agriculture, familiarized itself with the operations of the Beijing-based agricultural high-tech enterprise Da Bei Nong (DBN) Group.
Mao Changqing, Director of the DBN Group, highlighted the company’s international collaborations, outlining potential cooperation areas with Azerbaijan.
Minister Majnun Mammadov briefed Mao Changqing on Azerbaijan’s efforts aimed at fostering the agricultural sector.
In this regard, he mentioned the State Program for the Development of Agricultural Production and Processing, Fisheries, and Aquaculture for 2026–2030, approved by the relevant decree of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
The program aims to ensure the sustainable development of the agrarian sector and accelerate the transition to an intensive and competitive production model.
Mammadov also stressed the importance of international cooperation, including with Chinese companies.
He also invited the DBN Group representatives to attend Azerbaijan’s annual Caspian Agro international agriculture exhibition.
