Azerbaijani realities highlighted at HISF 20th Anniversary International Symposium

Director of the Office of International Affairs at ADA University, PhD in Political Sciences Rahman Shahhuseynli has given detailed information about the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict as he addressed the 20th anniversary of Honjo International Scholarship Foundation (HISF) in Tokyo.
Following the opening ceremony, Rahman Shahhuseynli drew the participants' attention to the conflicts in the region, saying a long-term Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh dispute, as well as the Abkhazia and South Ossetia problems in Georgia are the focus of the world's attention.
Researcher Shahhuseynli highlighted the aggressive policy of the Armenian state and its non-constructive position on the peaceful resolution of the conflict within the framework of international law.
He also pointed out the constructive, peaceful and fair position demonstrated by the Azerbaijani government during the negotiations on the settlement of the dispute.
Rahman Shahhuseynli also responded to participants' questions on the issue.
In his interview with AZERTAC's special correspondent in Japan, HISF consultant Ryusuke Honjo highlighted the activities of the Foundation. He noted that the Honjo International Scholarship Foundation was established by his father, Masanori Honjo, founder of ltoen, Ltd in 1997.
The Foundation's basic intention is to provide financial support to outstanding students, regardless of their filed of study, to help them obtain their chosen degree in the shortest possible time by sparing them the trouble of working part-time.
The Foundation began in July 1997 by providing scholarships to seventeen students. Since then, providing scholarship to about twenty new students every year, as of April 2010, the Foundation has provided scholarships to a total of 350 students from 58 nations.
"Doctor Rahman Shahhuseynli received the scholarship of the Foundation as the only Azerbaijani doctorate student at Osaka University. His scientific research draws attention with its particular topicality," Ryusuke Honjo said.
